Athera Case

A phone case designed to create stillness.
The Athera case helps you step away from the scroll. When removed and flipped face down, it gently locks onto the display and transforms the camera cutout into a five minute timer; a small, intentional pause in a noisy digital world.
Athera is inspired by “aether,” the ancient Greek word for pure air or the upper sky; the serene space the gods were said to breathe. Over time, aether came to symbolize the calm between worlds; the invisible medium that carries light, energy, and breath. The name bridges the ancient and the digital, a blend of air and era, representing a new age of stillness in our hyper-connected and loud world.
The concept of the logo was to show how phones and social media constantly drag our focus, slowly breaking it apart. I wanted to visualise an element which represented our focus (the circle), which could be broken down into similar chunks in a smooth animation, resulting in this logo for Athera, and the subsequent animation you see at the top.
This was the brand launch video I had made to accompany the branding. It aims to show how we're surrounded by the noise of social media, and how our brains are infact filled with brainrot memes and media clutter, eventually providing a small solution: The Athera Case.

Below are some ads and mockups as well. A deliberate choice was made to select photography that depict large fields and open lands, where a person can be 'away' from noise and be at peace.
Concept: ‘You take a 5 min break to dissociate from the world. Transport yourself to a different area, away from the world.' Hence the choice of singled out individuals in vast lands and grand backgrounds with the color palette focusing on white, blue and green.
